This policy is for homeowners in Little Rock, AR, across Pulaski County and in the nearby cities on our service areas page. It sets out which concerns we can handle ourselves and where to turn with the ones we can't.
Problems with the website. If a page seems wrong, unclear or unfair, or you feel we mishandled your request, let us know through the contact form. Give a short account of what went wrong and roughly when. We read each complaint and send each one a reply.
Problems with the contractor. Whoever received your request runs an independent business. It is not our employee, and we don't set its prices or direct the people who work for it. If your concern is about an estimate, the work itself, a warranty or how someone behaved on the job, take it to the contractor first. Keep a dated record with photos, along with the estimate, the contract and all receipts.
When it isn't settled. Arkansas's consumer protection law makes deceptive and unconscionable business practices unlawful. A complaint about a contractor's sales practices can go to the Arkansas Attorney General's office. A question about whether a contractor holds the license a job calls for goes to the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board. For a permit question on a home inside Little Rock city limits, the City's Building Permit Desk can explain how its process works; elsewhere, ask the building office of the city the home is in.
Tell us as well. Even when a complaint about the contractor isn't ours to resolve, we want to hear about it. If the same trouble keeps coming up, it shapes whether requests keep going to that business.
Nothing here takes away any right you have under Arkansas law, and Arkansas law governs this policy.
